Our history

Founded in 1936 by Mr. LACROIX, the company has grown in almost a century from a trading business specializing in the resale of equipment to Public Works and Bridges & Roads companies, to an international technological and industrial group specializing in electronic equipment and industrial IOT solutions.

Under the presidency of Vincent BEDOUIN, LACROIX has focused on high-growth markets driven by societal transformations.

Key dates

2024: Simplifying Our Activities

In 2024, LACROIX simplified its organization to focus on its core activities, Electronics and Environment, while divesting from its historical business, Signalisation. LACROIX also announced plans to sell its City activity and integrate the Smart Lighting segment into its Environment activity.


2023: Commitment to Positive Impact

The launch of our positive impact strategy, aimed at leveraging our expertise and know-how to address environmental and societal challenges.

Symbiose LACROIX

2022: Inauguration of the Symbiose plant

LACROIX inaugurated the Symbiose electronic assembly plant, a symbol of the French industrial revival: human-centered, digitalized, connected, automated, and environmentally friendly.


2021: Unified and Strategic Vision

A new unified brand identity across all activities and the launch of our strategic Leadership 2025 plan reinforced our ambition to become a global leader in industrial IoT solutions and electronic equipment for critical applications.

Vincent Bedouin LACROIX

2018: Vincent BEDOUIN appointed as CEO

On his arrival at the Group’s helm, Vincent BEDOUIN steered the company towards high-growth markets driven by societal transformations.

He restructured what was then a financial holding company, and created LACROIX GROUP.

This organization aims to optimize the value produced on two different and complementary levels:

  • The Group (Corporate), optimizes synergies wherever it makes sense: in purchasing and support functions, at the level of industrial facilities, engineering strengths and technological expertise.
  • The activities, located as close as possible to markets and customers, are geared towards selling our services and solutions, and supporting our customers.

2014: Expansion of Electronics & Environment activities

The Electronics activity entered the top 10 European EMS providers with revenue exceeding €220M and a workforce of nearly 3,000 employees.
The Environment activity
doubled its revenue in 10 years, surpassing €30M.

2005: International expansion

LACROIX established operations in Zriba, Tunisia, and Italy, strengthening its international presence.


1992: Entry on the Stock Exchange

Jean-Paul BEDOUIN floated the Group on the stock market, then opted for a governance structure based on an Executive Board and Supervisory Board in 1998.

1990: 3-branch structure

The Group acquires Sofrel Télégestion, which becomes LACROIX Sofrel, and Sofrel Electronique Services, which becomes the Electronics activity of LACROIX.
In 1990, the Group was structured into 3 divisions: Signaling, Remote Management and Electronics.  


1967: Arrival of Jean-Paul BEDOUIN

Jean-Paul BEDOUIN joins LACROIX as Deputy Managing Director, and develops the company by following a strategy of vertical integration of companies whose characteristics favor synergies in materials purchasing, or enable adaptation to market developments.
For example, as owner of LACROIX Signalisation, which made aluminum structures, LACROIX bought out companies producing aluminum scaffolding and fishing catamarans.

The company was founded by Mr. LACROIX as a trading business specializing in supplying equipment to Public Works companies and the Roads and Bridges Administration.
