We have just reached a key stage in our SYMBIOSE project: the location of our electronic factory 4.0 is now official! Our future LACROIX Electronics factory will be located in Beaupréau (Maine-et-Loire), not far from the current Montrevault site, and will open in 2021.

“We wished to put LACROIX Electronics’ employees at the centre of our choice by selecting a location near to the current site, so that they will be the first to benefit from the renewal of their factory. We are delighted with the chosen location, which we considered at length with our partner, the Mauges local authority, and with having reached this key stage. The Mauges local authority has also announced its project to convert the current Montrevault site into a dedicated space for innovation and business meetings. A project that LACROIX Electronics has actively joined.

However, that is not all. We have new partners joining us in this project, which include Schneider Electric and ASM. We are not carrying out this factory project alone, and all of our institutional and business partners will make a contribution.”

The attractiveness of the Mauges site and the proximity of the teams: two key criteria for LACROIX Group in choosing a location

After a combined effort and months of research and exchanges with local operators, we announced our chosen location to welcome our future Symbiose factory 4.0. Several possibilities were outlined, but it was Beaupréau that was eventually chosen. The central criterion was the attractiveness of the site, its dynamics and its geographic location, close to the current Montrevault site, as well as remaining loyal to our resources, a major axis of our development strategy.

Beaupréau met our needs, in terms of the criteria that we had set: the site is located just off the main roads, in a business park only 45 minutes from Anger and Nantes, with nurseries, shops and restaurants nearby; something that is vital for our employees. The proximity to our teams is also clearly an important criterion, to the extent that Symbiose is also undertaking a social renewal as well as technological and environmental challenges: improving quality of life at work is therefore a priority”, explains Vincent Bedouin, CEO.
